Relive the Nostalgia
  • Metroid (NES) - "Brinstar" 3D Video Game Shadow Box with Glass Frame 10 x 12.5 inches

Brinstar - where it all began. It's hard to believe that even with limited hardware, a game could be created with so much immersion and depth. The music still haunts me and perfectly complements the atmosphere of the game.

Metroid was such a brutally challenging and unforgiving game that I can't believe I beat it as a kid. I tried again 30 years later and it simply kicked my ass. But I'll never forget the first time I beat it - and fell in love with the pixellated reveal of the first female protagonist.

This glass-framed shadow box measures 10x12.5 inches and the viewport matches the 4:3 aspect ratio of the original scene. All of the images are printed on high-quality matte cardstock and laser cut for precision. The sprites are layered and raised to create a three-dimensional image that brings the scene to life. Pictures do not do it justice!
