Relive the Nostalgia
  • Secret of Mana (SNES) - "The Mana Beast" 3D Video Game Shadow Box with Glass Frame 10 x 12.5 inches

Secret of Mana is hands down my favorite video game of all time. The Super Nintendo days are often heralded as the glory days of RPGs, and Secret of Mana is a prime example.

It was very difficult to choose a scene from the game because there are so many memorable places, but in the end I was won over by the beautiful pastel artwork of the final boss, the Mana Beast. Sprite is casting Dryad's magic on our hero, while the girl stands by, itching to cast Cure Water at the first opportunity.

You might have noticed that the Mana Beast is much larger in the actual fight. I found it interesting to discover that the sprite was scaled up to make him appear more dominating.

This glass-framed shadow box measures 10x12.5 inches and the viewport matches the 4:3 aspect ratio of the original scene. All of the images are printed on high-quality matte cardstock and laser cut for precision. The sprites are layered and raised to create a three-dimensional image that brings the scene to life. Pictures do not do it justice!
